Jason Atherton named Outstanding Chef of the Year
On Monday Jason Atherton was named Outstanding London Chef of the Year in the London Restaurant Awards 2008 as the prestigious awards returned with a tenth anniversary gala ceremony at Grosvenor House.
Jason beat off stiff competition to win as other chefs nominated included Chris Galvin, Mark Hix, Anthony Demetre, Rowley Leigh and Theo Randall. The judging panel, chaired by Fay Maschler, included Terry Durack, Giles Coren, Charles Campion, Tracey Macleod, Matthew Norman and Jay Rayner.
