Petrus
Gordon Ramsay Holdings are delighted to announce that Pétrus shall be redefined in the heart of Belgravia in early 2010. The opening of a rejuvenated Pétrus builds upon the success and prestige of the restaurant’s previous incarnation but with new and dynamic themes.
The new site, at 1 Kinnerton Street, SW1, will have in the centre of the dining room, a stunning open cellar displaying up to 2000 bottles of wine. The restaurant will also offer 34 different Pétrus vintages.
Regulars of Pétrus will be delighted to know that Jean-Philippe Susilovic returns as Restaurant Director. Jean-Philippe directed Pétrus for 5 years and his unfailing charm and attention to detail has marked him as one of London’s outstanding hosts.
The modern French menu will include such dishes as Fillet of Angus beef with Swiss chard, wild mushrooms and red wine sauce and Baked line caught sea bass with confit fennel and caviar sauce.
The Russell Sage Studio (York & Albany and the new Savoy Grill) will be responsible for the design of the dining room, creating a modern, light and accessible space using a gentle palette of oyster, soft silver and copper tints while the alluring Pétrus claret red will be carried through the restaurant adding opulence to the room. The contemporary architecture of the building will be enhanced inside with the discreet use of luxury materials such as leather detailing and polished metal work.
Absorb the energy of the kitchen at The Chef's Table for up to 6 guests. The Chef will create an exclusive menu allowing you to view the intricacies of each dish.
